When Alan Munro came to speak with the class, we were also given the opportunity to help him with his new script for an as yet untitled film that takes place in west Texas. It has been an interesting process, collaborating ideas with Alan on this project and shows that there is so much more than having an idea and turning it into a script. That the script is really just a starting point and its thinking how that script will be brought to life is the embodiment of the entire pre-production process. I've enjoyed working with Alan on this and sharing my ideas with him. I intend to continue collaborating with him as I went out and actually filmed footage of desert scenes with specific settings to get my idea of how the film could look and will be emailing that footage with him. Below is the correspondence I had with him during the semester.
